Easy & Authentic Way to Make Tiramisu

Tiramisu is a popular italian coffee flavoured dessert. It is a rich , soft , and it requires no baking.

Ingredients-

  1. 1 cup strong brewed coffee. (room temperature)
  2. 2-3 tbsp sugar.
  3. 1 tbsp coffee liqueur. (optional)
  4. 1 cup heavy whipping cream. (chilled)
  5. 1 cup mascarpone cheese.
  6. 1/2 cup powdered sugar.
  7. 1 tbsp vanilla extract.
  8. 18-22 ladyfinger biscuits.
  9. Cocoa powder.
  10. Dark chocolate.

Step-1 Prepare the coffee mixture

  • Take warm water in a bowl.
  • Mix in instant coffee until it dissolves completely.
  • Let the mixture cool down.

(Warm coffee makes the biscuits too soft and cooling help them soak evenly)

Step-2 Whip the cream 

  • Pour the whipping cream in a bowl .
  • Whip the cream until the cream becomes thick . (it should be soft and fluffy)
 

Step-3. Make the mascarpone base

Take another bowl-

  • Add mascarpone cheese.
  • Powdered sugar.
  • Vanilla extract.

(Mix all the ingredients using a whisk , but don’t overmix)

Step-4 Combine both mixtures
  • Add whipped cream in the mascarpone mixture . 
  • Cover the bowl for 2-3 minutes .
 

Step-5 Dip the ladyfinger biscuits

  • Take a biscuit and dip it in the mixture for 2-3 seconds .
 

Step-6 Create the first layer

  • Put the dipped biscuit in the serving tray and place in such a way so that the base should fully covered.

(A tight layer gives a clean slice)

Step-7 Spread the cream layer

  • Add a generous amount of the cream mixture on the top .
  • Spread it evenly on the top of the biscuit .

(Don’t press too hard)

Step-8 Repeat the second layer

  • Dip the next set of biscuits in the coffee mixture.
  • Put them over the first cream layer.
  • Add the remaining cream and spread nicely.
 

Step-9 Add cocoa powder on top

  • Use a fine sieve to dust cocoa powder.

(Avoid big clumps of cocoa powder)

Step-10 Chill properly

  • Cover the tiramisu and refrigerate for 6-8 hours.
  • For the best taste , keep it overnight.
 

Step-11 Serve with style

  • Dust a little extra cocoa powder.
  • You can add a little chocolate crush on top for decoration.
